” Way back in the mists of time… well, around 2006, I moved to Somerset. I have been a computer user, builder and all round computer geek for about 25 years. I know my way around both software & hardware pretty well. Back then, I needed a few parts to upgrade my rig and DC Computers Highbridge branch was the nearest to me. I went in and was just blown away by the friendliness, the willingness to talk me through my options as to what I needed, not always to their profit, they helped me with what was best for ME, not what was necessarily best for the shop.
This was a totally new realm of customer service for me, and I have used and recommended them to anyone I know ever since. If friends need custom builds I always try to push them DC’s way, they have done 4 or 5 for my friends in the intervening years, and I have lost count of the bits I have bought for my personal use. Along about the time I moved down here, I somehow met up with a guy called Rob Sharpe, can’t remember how, but it was computer related, and we became friends, swapping tips, bits and advice with each other. Strangely enough, Rob started working for DC Computer a few years later in the Highbridge shop; he is now the manager of the Weston-super-Mare shop. Back in the day, it was often me helping Rob out. I can honestly say it is now more often than not the other way around; his knowledge & skills now outstrip mine in many areas, he really knows his stuff. Every build I have arranged from both shops has been of superb quality for the budget given, very neat and tidy builds, you really get what you pay for. The teams are willing to take the time to go through all choices with the customer to make sure you get the best build for your money.

But then you get to the difference between DC and all the other shops I have tried in the area: The aftercare. The people at both shops are always there for advice if you are stuck with something, Phone them and you will get great help with whatever your problem is (and many of the problems I have had are nothing to do with the actual build, just stuff I need some advice on). I can only think of 1 problem I have had with a build, and that was due to a defective part, not the build. As it was still under guarantee, I took the rig back and it was fixed within a day of my dropping it in, with the defective part being replaced with no quibble or argument. Try that at PC World etc, and see how it works out for you! DC Computers are easily the most helpful, honest and knowledgeable shops I have used in all my time in Somerset, if they don’t have what you want they will order it quickly. If you have a build done you can be totally confident it will be a superb job and that they will go way beyond what you are used to in customer service.
And the gaming rig builds… all I can say is , they are not only magnificent machines that can run with (and beat!) the big boys, they LOOK stunning. I just wish I had the cash to throw at Rob so he could build me one. My home build is an ok bit of kit, but it’s ugly and messy inside - a DC build is a work of art, the cabling is almost invisible and you know you are getting the best quality parts your budget will allow.
Can’t think of much else to say except, if you haven’t already done so, give DC a go, I would personally stake my reputation on the build and service you will get, and you will become yet another convert to their fast growing group of fans.”
